On April 16th, the Huayou Holding Group 2025 Cadres Conference was held at the headquarters in Tongxiang. The conference, themed "Great Opportunities and Great Achievements, Firm Strategic Direction to Promote High-Quality Development," comprehensively summarized the achievements during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period and systematically planned the strategic layout for the "15th Five-Year Plan." Chairman Chen Xuehua delivered a keynote speech at the conference.

In his speech, Chairman Chen pointed out that 2025 marks the end of the "14th Five-Year Plan" and the planning stage for the "15th Five-Year Plan," which is also a critical juncture for Huayou to seize opportunities presented by the transformation of the new energy industry and achieve high-quality development. Facing complex and volatile international environments and competitive pressures within the industry, he emphasized that all Huayou employees must maintain strategic composure, recognizing both the greater challenges in production and operations while firmly holding onto confidence in steady progress. Focus should be placed on integrated industry chain advantages, international business layouts, and high-level cooperation capabilities to ensure the achievement of annual targets and objectives with determination, thus concluding the "14th Five-Year Plan" successfully.
Regarding the strategic plan for the "15th Five-Year Plan," Chairman Chen proposed three core orientations: paying attention to the international environment, serving the national agenda, and adhering to innovation while maintaining integrity. Huayou needs to deeply understand global trends in energy transition and, under the guidance of "dual carbon" goals, continue the entrepreneurial spirit of "Be the best or nothing" It should adhere to the transformation path of "Controlling the Resources Upstream, Developing the Markets Downstream, Enhancing the Capability from Within," deepening overseas resource layouts, optimizing international manufacturing systems, and expanding global market shares. Meanwhile, it should uphold the investment philosophy of "contributing to local economic and social development wherever investments are made," building a more resilient ecosystem for sustainable development.

Facing the new wave of technological revolution, Chairman Chen clearly required placing scientific and technological innovation at the core of the "15th Five-Year Plan" strategy: promoting technological upgrades in lithium battery materials, accelerating the application of new technologies and industrial innovation integration, and cultivating new productive forces. By strengthening R&D investment, deepening industry-academia-research cooperation, and improving innovation incentive mechanisms, efforts will focus on breaking through technical barriers in frontier areas such as high-nickel materials, solid-state batteries, and recycling processes, aiming to become a technical benchmark in the global lithium battery material industry.
In terms of organizational capability building, the conference proposed enhancing five major capabilities and practicing three working methods to forge a cadre team: enhancing thinking ability, communication skills, cohesion, integration ability, and combat effectiveness, nurturing leading talents who can "plan and accomplish tasks well"; through systematic thinking combined with key breakthroughs, analogical reasoning complemented by comprehensive understanding, and synergy facilitated by resource integration, cadres are expected to become experts in their fields and strategic managers.
"As a private enterprise that has gone through more than 30 years of development to become one of China's top 500 enterprises, we are grateful for our great country and this great era," concluded Chairman Chen, calling on all Huayou employees to recognize that the Huayou cause is a shared endeavor, and the hardworking Huayou people are the greatest confidence for its success. He hoped that cadres would take advantage of the Huayou platform to make significant contributions and realize their ambitions.

The conference was chaired by President Chen Hongliang of Huayou Cobalt.

It also released the "2025 Ideological and Cultural Construction Outline," with Deputy Chairman Chen Xiaolin providing a detailed explanation of the core essence of "inheritance and innovation."


Hu Sai Xiong, Chief Consultant and Chief Solution Officer of Zhiben Future Management Consulting Company, gave a special training session titled "Achieving Greater Commercial Dreams for Huayou," offering systematic thinking tools from strategic decoding to execution implementation for cadres.

Focusing on the implementation of strategies, Senior Vice President Wang Jun of Huayou Cobalt presented a report on the "Three Clarifications Again," emphasizing the importance of refined management in ensuring capacity release and cost optimization.

Li Qian, General Manager of the Human Resources Management Center, presented the "2025 Cadre Management Report," outlining future directions and measures.

Chen Ying, Director of Strategic Development Department, officially launched the "15th Five-Year Plan," meticulously formulating the company’s strategy and decomposing key tasks to ensure effective implementation, strong advancement, and substantial results.
